First. The working principle of hydrocyclone
Cyclone is a kind of non-power equipment, it is by pumping the material into the cyclone, after a certain pressure, the material of different specific gravity separated, to achieve the separation effect. As a common separation and classification equipment, hydrocyclone works on the principle of centrifugal sedimentation. When the two-phase (or three-phase) mixture to be separated enters the cyclone tangentially at a certain pressure, a strong three-dimensional elliptical strong rotating shear turbulent motion is generated. Because of the coarse particle phase (or heavy) and fine particles (or light phase) there is a size difference between difference (or density), its by centrifugal force, the centripetal buoyancy and fluid drag force, etc. The size is different, the centrifugal sedimentation, most of the coarse particle phase (or heavy) by the vortex bottom LiuKou eduction, and most of the fine particles (or light phase) through the overflow pipe, so as to achieve the aim of classification.

Third. Installation and function
1. The product shall be installed by the manufacturer and qualified by pressure test before leaving the factory. If the user installs the parts by himself, the parts shall be bolted one by one according to the main structure drawing, and the tightness of the periphery shall be kept even to avoid punctures and leaks. Note: Due to the lining of the cyclone polyurethane, it is strictly prohibited to carry out electric welding on it! After selecting the specifications of the cyclone according to the process conditions and technical parameters, in order to obtain a better grading effect, the adjustment experiments can be carried out on the bottom orifices of different specifications, so as to obtain the appropriate size of the bottom color orifices for specific materials.
2. If the user installs the shelf by himself, the connection size of each part shall conform to the relevant parameters of the product. If there is a large error, forced connection is not allowed, so as to avoid local stress concentration, influence service life or puncture leakage, the size of the connection part of the shelf shall be adjusted appropriately.
3. The inlet pipeline should be installed with a valve to regulate the flow rate and pressure, so that the cyclone normal work, the bottom nozzle should be spray. Note: Valve must be fully open and fully closed.
4. All hydrocyclones should be installed on the slurry tank. The drain line should not be bent or too long, because too long will affect the drainage overflow. The overflow line should not enter the mud level to prevent backpressure and should always be above the level. Pump requirements: select slurry pump or mud pump, flow should be greater than 30% of the cyclone flow, sand pump should be installed on the ground, the closer to the cyclone the better, the line to reduce bending, liquid column height of about 2 meters, so that the pump does not breathe air.
5. The inner diameter of the overflow pipe should be larger than the inner diameter of the cyclone overflow pipe to ensure the grading and sorting effect. If it is too small, the pressure inside the cyclone will be too large and the bottom flow concentration will be low.
Fourth. Matters needing attention
1. The required material pressure of the cyclone should be kept between the specified data. If it is less than low pressure, the cyclone will not be separated. Flow when working to have a stable working pressure, which can be adjusted by the speed of the sand pump to ensure that the slurry is not "panting", but must ensure greater than the low working pressure. When the amount of slurry shortage is large, the problem can be solved by flooding or replacement of suitable flow pump.
2. The bottom flow, it is easy to wear parts. When the inner diameter becomes too large or the deformation is too large due to wear, the grading effect will be affected. Therefore, it should be replaced regularly according to the law of wear time in use to ensure a good grading effect; The overflow conduit should also be replaced regularly as the bottom outlet.
3. Large feed size 2mm, such as too large cyclone bottom flow will block, resulting in non-classification.
Bottom flow running slurry, low injection pressure, adjust the inlet valve to make the pressure appropriate.
The inner diameter of the bottom flow (sand nozzle) is too large, adjust and replace.
Too many solid particles are separated, which increases the number of hydrocyclones or selects large-diameter hydrocyclones beyond the exclusion ability of hydrocyclones.
If the discharge outlet line is too long or there is blockage, check and adjust if there is blockage in the inlet and remove it.
The inner surface of cyclone cover is badly worn. Replace it.
No discharge of bottom flow, high injection pressure, lower.
If the diameter of solid phase is too small, the injection pressure can be reduced slightly.
The bottom flow is blocked. Clear the inlet.
Pressure does not come, sand pump suction pipe blockage, clear.
Air lock pump to drain air from the system.
Improper opening of each valve, adjust.
The displacement of cyclone is larger than that of sand pump, so the number of cyclone or small diameter cyclone can be reduced.
If the connection part leaks and the flange becomes loose, tighten the flange bolt.
